IN AND ABOUT MILAN

I thought I'd just publish a couple of shots that actually show we are here, and having fun (unlike the picture of me after having just been accosted in the square outside the Duomo) :)

The shot of Carol is here today, waiting outside to see DaVinci's THE LAST SUPPER. It was amazing!
Such an unassuming place. Its in the monk's dining hall next to a church. You weren't allowed to take pictures inside (or trust me I'd have about 500 of them)- you had to go through these air pressured control doors to insure that the same level of humidity stays with the fresco at all times. The fresco is actually painted directly onto the wall of the dining hall. Imagine the unbelievability of actually being IN this dining hall where Leonardo DaVinci spent four years painting this mural- and that it was painted to look like an extension of the room- I actually just found this picture on the internet that shows what it looks like from inside the hall (and I didn't even have to get arrested by the Polizia!!
