A VERY FLORENTINE DAY

Its been a perfect day- nothing went wrong- everything came off just as it should- the weather could have been more agreeable. And only like 3 GYPSIES begged at me today!! Gotta love that! We got up and had breakfast at our hotel (Hotel Europa- a.k.a. Florentine hotel of choice of the "little people". When you look at this picture of Florence that I took from a hill in town today- our hotel is just to the right of that large church dome (which is not surprisingly "The Duomo!" That tower that looks like UNI's campanille is the one I walked up yesterday. After breakfast we went over and checked out the place where we were to see DAVID at 12:15pm. There was already a huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge line at 9:00am of people without tickets. I had read in Rick Steve's book to be prepared to see people hot and waiting in line when its so easy to book ahead. There were two clearly marked doors (Those with reservations) and (Those without reservations)- So we took off to explore Florence for a few hours before our scheduled time.
