This is the enchanting town that we spent the day in today; Vernazza, Italy. It is about 10 minutes by train from where we are staying and is one of the five official towns of the Cinque Terre. Carol is absolutely amazing at finding the most out of the way places by just wandering the back streets and alleys of these little towns. I just follow her and say “ok” every time she asks if I want to go up/down some little area that is about 2 feet wide. And seeing how high we are in this picture, you can probably appreciate that we had been hiking up and up and up and up to be able to take this spot. See the tower on the point? It was used to spot pirates back in the 1400s and earlier! And we went up in it!
