TUNNEL

I’ve got to include a picture of this- we were JUST about back into Klagenfurt on the road in that we’ve never been on- and we came around corner and faced this! I’m in front and go woah….Carol must not have been looking up at the moment cause she goes, “What honey….ohhhhhhh”. So we both stopped- and Carol goes, “What are we gonna do?” - “We’re gonna go through it”.. “SERIOUSLY???” she asks---well unless you see some other way around- I think so”—and I bravely entered in. The trouble was not the tunnel- the trouble was the SKINNNNY area they give you to be a pedestrian walking through- now imagine doing that with a 100 lb bike! And imagine in the middle that it gets PITCH dark- cause it really did (although afterwards Carol told me I still had my sunglasses on- I can’t confirm or deny that fact)- But I do know that I kept trying to walk UP the metal curved walls, and then I’d almost lose my footing- and fall into the traffic which naturally started to buzz and fly through this tunnel from both directions as soon as we entered into the abyss.
