Well we hit the rails again today after about a 1.5 week layover- We're still in Austria of course, cause I've got two more weeks to teach, but we went on a regional train today to a little village called St. Veit. We knew absolutely nothing about this town except that it was supposed to be near a famous Austrian castle and we figured we could walk from the train station. When we got to the tourist information center, we learned that walking to it would be MILES. So we decided to go there another time to a more direct train stop and instead just enjoy this town- and we did! Here's a shot of its town square. The shot of Carol is waiting for the train in our little village of Krumpendorf (you can see it spelled out on the train station in the background)
