As you continue up, you realize something- that stakes for the intruders only got bigger the further they went (from the history I read of this place, it was never conquered)- I'm not sure how far the furthest intruder was able to get, but I do know that boiling oil and tar awaited them at Gate 14 should they ever get that far- I just can't imagine it given the devastation of the previous 13 hurdles.
