STATUES!

I do have to admit though, that before we arrived at the Sistine Chapel- which is within the Vatican Museum compound- and actually just to the right side of St. Peters--- we rounded a corner and there I was in ROMAN STATUE HEAVEN!!! There were over 1,000 of them!! All of them dating back to around 100 AD or so- some of them being former Caesars- some of them just rich people who could afford to have a bust made of themselves. Don’t worry Lyn, I have about 300 more pictures of statues to show you the next time we’re in Raleigh!
