UNBELIEVABLE FOOD

While we were walking around we happened to encounter what is of course, one of the best parts of Italy. THE FOOD! Tonight we went out to dinner at 10pm (just got back) at a little pizzeria- you know in the US when you just luck out once in a blue moon and you find a really authentic Italian restaurant where the people talk with accents- and the place just has the atmosphere- we walked into this place and this 6-foot tall Italian guy with a head of curly black hair, white shirt, black pants, apron comes up and says in a booming voice Buona Sera! and those shows us to a corner square table with bread on the table and a fresh table cloth. I'd tell you there was a guy playing an accordian in the back corner but there wasn't- but there might well have been. The pizza was DELICOUS of course. This is a shot of the place where we had lunch in downtown Torino today- notice the local Italian boys stopping on their bikes to get something to eat- you know you're in the right spot when the locals are lining up for food. And they were! This is also a shot of a pretty happy Carol Lee sitting outside the restaurant. I'd just said something pretty funny (and inappropriate as I recall)- but I can't remember what :)

Of course no day in Italy is complete without a little Italian Ice Cream (Gelato) and so ours wasn't either. Just don't even think or talk about Weight Watcher Points cause you're in ITALY FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!
